BZScan

BZScan is a free java tool for automatic quantification of DNA microarrays with radioactive labeling. BZScan provides saturation, overshining, and background noise correction, it also gives quality control measures. It can work either in a fully automatic "batch mode" or at different levels of manual operation.

Requirements

To run BZScan, you need at least 256Mb of RAM and a 2GHz processor. You need to install java 1.4.1 or newer and java web start. BZScan has been sucessfully tested on Linux 2.4, Windows 2000/XP and MacOs X.

If you prefer a more traditional local installation, you can download the necessary files:

Use the command line

java -Xss10m -Xmx200m -jar BZScan.jar

This allocates 200MB for running BZScan (plus 10MB of stack). Give a higher number if your computer has more memory resources. Under windows, you can use BZScan.bat.
